SquadFuel ("SquadFuel", "we", "us", or "our"), operated by Riftco, provides a team nutrition and wellness app (the "Service"). This Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and your choices. By using SquadFuel you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Account information. Your name, email address, date of birth, and password — or, if you use Sign in with Apple, the identifier and email Apple provides plus the date of birth you enter (with Sign in with Apple you may choose to hide your email via Apple's private relay). We collect your date of birth at sign-up to verify that you are at least 13 and to apply age-appropriate defaults for users under 18 (see "Children and teens"); people under 13 cannot create an account.
Health and nutrition data. The information you log or set: meals and food entries, calories and macronutrients, micronutrients, hydration, nutrition goals and targets, body weight, training/activity level, sport, and dietary preferences. This is sensitive information and we treat it with care.
Meal photos. Photos you capture or select to log a meal. To recognize the food and estimate its nutrition, the photo is sent to our AI processing provider, Google Cloud (Vertex AI). For features that comment on a logged meal, we also send a short text summary of that meal and limited recent-logging context — the names of your few most recently logged foods, how many times you have logged today, and your current streak. Vertex AI processes all of this solely on our behalf under contract and does not use it to train its own models.
Where you're based, and your school or organization. The city, state and country you live in, and the school, university, club or workplace you belong to. We use these to suggest squads and coaches near you, to decide where to focus the product and who to approach about it, and — if you choose to enter — to run the monthly prize draw, which is limited to certain states. We describe our athletes to schools, clubs and partners only in aggregate ("we have athletes at this school"); we never identify you to them.
Mailing address — winners only. We do not collect a street address in the app. If you win a prize we contact you by email and ask for a delivery address then, so the only mailing addresses we ever hold belong to people who have won something. They are used to ship that prize and nothing else.
Content you post. Posts, comments, reactions, or updates you share in squad feeds.
Usage and device data. App interactions, app version, device model, operating system, and diagnostic/crash data, to operate and improve the Service.
Push notifications. If you enable reminders or squad/coach notifications, we use a device push token to deliver them. You can turn these off in the app or device settings.
SquadFuel is intended for people aged 13 and older; we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 (see "Children and teens").
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for cross-app advertising.
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, then only as required for legitimate business or legal purposes. Meal photos are retained only as long as needed to provide and improve meal logging. When no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures, including encryption in transit (TLS) and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
SquadFuel is intended for users aged 13 and older and is not directed to children under 13. We collect a date of birth at sign-up and do not permit accounts for anyone under 13; we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
For users aged 13–17, use of the Service requires the permission of a parent or guardian (see our Terms of Service), and age-aware defaults apply:
SquadFuel is a general wellness and nutrition-tracking tool. It does not provide medical advice and is not a substitute for professional medical or dietary guidance. Consult a qualified professional before making health decisions.
We may process and store information in countries other than where you live, including the United States. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers (such as Standard Contractual Clauses).
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, provide additional notice in the app.
